Body

I couldnt find a patch file for my specific ID so being ignorant and a absolute moron I used a different patch file that had an extremely similar ID thinking it would be fine. As you can imagine it did not turn out fine and now my car is immobile. Im not sure what to do going foward. My calibration ID is IKLN3TMW_J0A but the patch I used was IKLN3TMZ_J0A found on the SXTH website. What are my options to getting my car up and running and potentially being able to properly patching my ECU

Hello,
EK1 Team highly recommend customer to use matched ECU software.
Unfortunately, you lost a chance to read your original ECU.

Please do not follow the guide.

What is your car detail?
Model year, VIN, engine, gearbox type.

Just flashed the recovery file and the car is able to crank up and start, along with all the sensor lights disappearing and check engine returning. Although the car in idle is running terribly. I'm guessing that's because of the missing software. What should I do moving forward?

If you can get a bench cable, I can help you flash the IKLN3TMZ_J0A version with a bench cable.
Can you take a picture of ECU label sticker?

Just took the picture do I make a separate question thread to upload it because it does not let me send images in the comments. Also what bench cable should I buy?

Basically, you needed to read your original ECU data via a bench cable when you started to tune.
But, you tried to write other version and you've got bricked ECU.
It means you lost a change to read your original ECU (IKLN3TMW_J0A).

If we can expect IKLN3TMZ_J0A version will work properly, you need to have a bench cable to flash full data of IKLN3TMZ_J0A.
It will need it only one time.
So, I recommend you to rent a cable from some friends near by you.

Thank you.

By bench cable do you mean the Siemens 250/260 Bench Cable on the EK1 Online store? And just to make sure I understand. I originally needed a bench cable for IKLN3TMW_J0A because there is no patch available for this specific ID so I would of needed to send the full data, but since I messed up, that original information is lost so I would need to bench flash the data for another calibration ID (IKLN3TMZ_J0A)

Generally, a bench cable is used for reading ECU or Changing to other ECU software version.
and you don't need to make a patch if you have a bench cable.

Yes.. you can buy the bench cable ek1mall.com/us

Thank you.

Would it be possible to patch my ECU with the IPPNDMEU_N2B patch file since that's the same calibration ID used for the recovery file that fixed my ECU. Or is my only option the bench cable. Sorry for all the questions Im just trying to understand this whole situation

The IPPNDMEU_N2B recovery file was able to get my ECU out of a bricked state. Now my car is able to start up and all the extra sensor lights on my dash are 100% gone. The problem is on idle the car doesn't seem to be operating 100%, The car is able to stay on with no lights but the ECU seems to be having a hard time adapting and making the proper adjustments to allow the car to run smoothly. I noticed the "torque" meter on the infotainment fluctuating while idle which obviously isnt normal.
