Tuning 2025 Elantra N with Bench Kit

I have a few quick questions about using the bench kit. I have read that you do not need a patch file when using the kit for the 2025 Elantra N, does that mean all I need to do is connect the bench kit and flash the tune? Or do I need a flash file as well?

2024/25 N cars needs always a bench cable kit when you read/write ECU.

I know you need a bench kit, my question is whether I need to run a patch file through the kit before loading my tune
